About

For the people the system overlooks.

Corner is a free, public priority-establishment registry. You upload a file. The registry hashes it, asks multiple independent Time Stamp Authorities to witness the hash, and gives you back a receipt anyone can verify offline against the witnesses' published certificates. The receipt is yours. Corner doesn't need to exist for the proof to hold.

Who it's for

Solo founders, indie hackers, garage hardware builders, citizen scientists, veterans, hobbyist researchers, pro-se patent filers, undergraduate inventors whose work falls through institutional cracks — anyone whose priority claim doesn't get the institutional protection it deserves. A verifiable, free, defensible receipt without asking who you are or where you went to school.

Free, permanently

The core promise — upload, hash, multi-witness timestamp, public retrieval, offline verification — is free forever. Not freemium. Not free-runway. Permanently free at the individual user level. Optional paid features may exist later that don't gate the core (larger file caps, API access for power users, archived snapshot exports), but the receipt mechanism stays free.

Open source under AGPL-3.0

Corner is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The "free, public, never paywalled" promise is structurally enforced by the license — anyone running a modified version of Corner must publish their changes under the same license. A fork can't silently go closed-source and start charging.
